Cherry Class - Year 1

Here in Cherry class, we created these rules together and discussed how they will keep us safe and others around us safe. We discussed what it means to be a good listener, a respectful peer and to always try our best even if we find something tricky.
This class charter outlines the rules we follow in school and in class every day created by the children and teacher.

Mixed Classes 2026-2027
This academic year we are having three mixed Year 1/Year 2 classes in KS1. To make sure we teach age appropriate curriculum and meet the needs of the children, the children will will move around in the mornings to 'core subject teaching groups'. This might mean your child gets taught by other teachers in KS1. Most afternoons the children will be back to their own class for foundation subjects. This is an excellent way for the children to get more personalised learning. All KS1 teachers will be working closely together to plan and prepare engaging lessons. Any questions about how this will work, please ask.
